Steven Novak
Field Archaeologist
Steven holds a Bachelor of Archaeology (Hons) from the Australian National University. He has over 25 years’ experience as a field archaeologist, having worked on archaeological surveys and assessments throughout Australia and internationally (Europe and North America).
Steven specialises in Indigenous archaeology, including directing baseline heritage surveys in the central Pilbara with a wide range of Traditional Owner groups and stakeholders. He has extensive experience in conducting test excavation, archaeological salvage, artefact analysis and GIS based field recording.
Steven has an interest in working within the arid/semi arid zones, studying the complexities of human subsistence in extreme environments.
